Justice has been long overdue!

How could you let this happen

On June fourth of this year the trial of former Liberian dictator Charles Taylor will start in Europe, finally the once so called strong man of West Africa, must defend and answer charges of genocide not only against the Liberian people, but also against the peoples of Sierra Leone.

It is said that a suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but the barbarity, and savagery with which he and his band of criminals wage their war was beyond comprehension.

stories of his soldiers opening up pregnant women to see if the child is male or female, and the amputation of arms and legs of innocent men, women and children are widely known.

These savages, should and must pay for their actions, The other faction leaders who opposed Taylor are not innocent too, Kromah, Conteh, and George Boley, should all be drag before the courts.

We will never forget what you people did to our beloved country, the trial of the dictator is only a formality, but in our hearts all of them have being found guilty, and they must all pay and pay dearly for what they did.

Why should we care?

when your gang raped, and Kill,
and ruin our country, did you care?

was he your enemy too?

Former President Taylor being led away by UN police.
How does it feel to be the one on the other end of the Law?

I sometime ago stumble upon this website http://fortaylor.net/ which is a website soliciting people to contribute to the defense of former Liberian President Charles Taylor against war crimes charges, and i thought to myself, are these people serious? after all the mayhem these barbarians cause to our country, after all the thousands of innocent blood spilled, because of their greed, they have the audacity to ask us for money? if it was up to me, they all will be hanged for their crimes against not only the peoples of Liberia, but also Sierra Leone.

There is not an ounce of respect i have in me for these people, they have ruin our nation, scar our children, and traumatize a whole generation forever, let Charles Taylor rot in hell, he did not give people a chance to defend themselves in court, why should we ordinary Liberians care? that man is the Devil incarnate, and as far as i am concern he will be perfectly fine in hell, where he belongs.

Liberians Behaving Badly

I read an article from the Analyst newspaper online about some Liberians behaving badly in the united states,http://www.analystnewspaper.com/ and i just was stunned about how stupid some of our people can be, we have to remember that this is not our country, that when in Rome, we have to live like the Romans, we have this opportunity to not only better ourselves, but to also contribute to the development of our country, we must make good use of it.

This rebel mentality, this gangsta wanna be mentality is not cute at all, in the end you are deported home, than what? you end up useless to yourself and your country, you will have have failed your countryman and bring shame to us all, a hint to the wise is sufficient.

Temporary protected status, Please give our people more time

On October 1 this year about 10,000 Liberians who have resided in the United states for more than ten years will be force to go home by the United states government, because the government now considers Liberia safe enough for her people to return. However i would like to point out that the State department own travel advisory is warning Americans to avoid travel to the country, because of serious security concern. so my question is, if its not safe for Americans to go there, how is it safe for thousands of Liberians with their U.S born children, who are U.S citizens to go there? the new government in Monrovia, is doing all it can to provide basic services, to the people already there, and with some difficulty i might add, how can they be expected to cope with the thousands more who will be force to go home. Monrovia is already overcrowded, unemployment is at 80%, the education system is in shambles not to mention the health sector, there is no way this is going to work, if this plan is implemented it will be a disaster in the making. Our people understands that there is nowhere like home, we are grateful to the United states for all it has done and continue to do for our people, all we ask is a little more time, to let the government in Monrovia, firmly put their feet on the ground. i have total confidence in the beliefs of freedom, and justice , two words firmly rooted deep in the foundation of this great nation, and just as the Irish came in the 1800 to escape famine, and the Jews in world war 2, to escape Nazi prosecution, Liberians will continue to be hopeful that the doors will be left ajar and not totally shut, that those words written by Emma Lazarus for the statue of Liberty: Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand a mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her nameMother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes commandThe air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame."Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"will hold meaning for them too.
