2. Former dictator Charles Taylor agrees to go into exile, finally putting and end to almost 2 decades of war.
3. Most Liberians believe that America has the moral obligation to help end the Liberian civil war, since it was free americans slave who settled founded the country in 1822.

The end of and era




Angie Brooks-Randolph,
J. Rudolph Grimes, and
G. Bacchus Matthews ,
three of Liberia's distinguished sons and daughter and all diplomats, died over the week end.
Angie Brooks-Randolph, was the first and only African female President of the United Nations General Assembly.
Gabriel Bacchus Matthews, was One of Liberia's leading politicians , diplomats,and former Foreign Minister.

J. Rudolph Grimes , was Liberia's former Secretary of State, He served from 1960 – 1972.
